Trivia: "Hot Plate" was a subsidiary of MCS when it was Motocross South and before it was co-owned by George Esser, father of the NBL and '79 NBL #1 pro Greg Esser. I can't recall the name of MCS's founder, but like Champion and Redline, MCS was a motorcycle swingarm manufacturer before they got into BMX.

Nice! Christmas of 1980 I found A blue on blue Kuwahara with a Hot Plate under the tree. Wish I still had it.
